Fresh snow is kind of magical like the first snow of the season. It makes the dingy dirty landscape look new again. I visit this unnamed swamp near Lake Desolation often hoping to see one of the few moose that live in the nearby forest, but so far no luck for me.
About Kent O Smith JR
My photographic journey started with shooting film in high school. I made some good images, and many not so good images. At that younger age, I wasn't disciplined enough to keep a journal of the settings for each shot, so I had a hard time reproducing the good images. Going away to college, life became too busy for photography so I didn't pick up another camera until the digital revolution. After playing with some point & shoots, then some super zoom prosumer cameras, I purchased my first DSLR in 2009. From there, I am self taught, reading numerous books on the basics and then watching hours of YouTube videos.
